Gardening Club Returns

We've had a break from Gardening Club over the colder winter months but we returned after the Easter Holiday with a new group of keen young gardeners! The garden has been looked after by our wonderful school gardener Steve who works with children from all years in the school to keep the garden looking good.

We took our new Gardening Club recruits for a tour of the garden, there were already broad beans almost ready to pick

And the care we had taken with the apple blossom earlier in the Spring was starting to pay off - apples were forming on the trees! 

We decided to plant some climbing bean seeds and take them home over half term to see how long the seeds took to germinate and grow. 

We put a plastic bottle over the plant pot to act as a kind of mini greenhouse - we hope it will keep the seedling warm and help it to grow quicker.
