We love using the herbs from our garden and we want to encourage our school cooks to use them too. This week we're going to have a look at the herbs in the herb bed, identify the different plants and then make some labels for them, so we know what's what.
We've got lots of nice herbs in the herb bed - a lot of them are perennial so they grow back every year.
To warm ourselves up after working in the garden, we made some mint tea
We washed some mint leaves and put them in the teapot with some hot water.
We added some lime and some syrup to sweeten it up a bit, and wrote the recipe in our gardening journals!
